Wow. What a complete jerk.

Now I feel stupid for missing the satire tag. Thing is, this would be a believable statement. Poe's Law at work...

So let me get this right? Bryan Fischer is at the least advocating birth control and abortion for non-Christians and at the worst endorsing forced sterilization of "Undesirables"?

Well? Am I somehow misreading his statement? Or does he think 'his God' (the hateful spiteful racist genocidal and homophobic one he worships) is suddenly going to decide to prevent everyone who isn't Christian from having children?

I was just going to say something like that.

Just before the segment ended, Fischer also said he was hopeful more people would come to accept this interpretation of scripture because if they did, "We could have homosexuality and Islam extinguished in a few generations, with only a strong Judeo-Christian society left behind. That's the future God wants."

There's a strong implication there that it's all about breeding, and outbreeding all of us heathens. No abortions or birthcontrol if you want "a strong Judeo_Christian society", apparently.

Problem with Poes law, it wouldn't be needed if you could tell just by the outrageous nature of the statement. You can't... :(

It's tagged with "Satire".

Poe's law is a major tenet of the burgeoning science of morology, the study of foolishness. This is fast becoming a major branch of scientific inquiry, but not fast enough.
Satire-Fischer's conflation of Muslims and homosexuals would be amusing if there were not people who really believe Shariah law and gay marriage are mutually supporting threats to what they mistakenly think is the American way.

I'd find that a lot funnier if it weren't so bloody plausible...
...and it doesn't help that I missed the satire tag the first time I read it...

Could he be any more of a fascist?

I also missed the satire tag. It's hard to satirize Fischer. This is the man who wants to kill all the grizzly bears in God's name.

Don't satire crazy people. Every time nuts are lampooned, they wind up doing it for real. Hell, thats probably where they get their ideas, being too gar-gone to see why it would be a bad thing for real.

So stop jinxing it!

...

On second thought, let the crazies get crazier. Its a blessing in disguise.

At what point does this guy become too much for even the American Family Association?

That was kind of my goal in posting.

I wanted to demonstrate how something some stupid and rancid, that even a few short years ago would be CLEARLY seen as made-up, can pass for legit today.

Pretty damned scary if you think about it.
